Helping YOU trust YOUR voice
Using cutting-edge applied neurology, work WITH your nervous system to reduce performance anxiety, find vocal freedom, and TRUST your voice
My Story
In 2021, I fell at the gym and suffered a serious concussion that landed me in the hospital overnight, undergoing numerous MRI’s. Even when I’d been cleared by my neurologist to return to regular activity, I knew something was off. I used to be able to read the subway signs from a block away, and now they were blurry. My voice wasn’t coming. In private study with Andrew Byrne, author of The Singing Athlete, I learned how to assess and train my visual and vestibular systems, and I got my voice back. In fact, it’s stronger than it’s ever been!
When I brought brain-based training to my students, they were excited to not only learn new ways of training, but to get results beyond what they’d been able to achieve before. Along the way, I learned my students had also suffered concussions, car accidents, bike accidents, and other major traumas to the body. Life is a full contact sport!
In 2022, my appendix burst, and after a difficult recovery that necessitated a second stay in the hospital, I worked once again with Andrew to rehabilitate my voice after a major trauma. It’s hard to say that I’m glad I had my concussion and my appendicitis, but I wouldn’t be the teacher I am today without brain-based training.
Since 2022, I have earned The Singing Athlete Teacher Certifications Level 1, 2, and 3, and I have completed 3 brain-based certifications with Z-Health Performance Solutions. I’m integrating my knowledge of the body as a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer with knowledge of the brain from The Singing Athlete and Z-Health, and I’m helping students in private lessons and workshops address surgical recovery, concussions, visual and vestibular deficits, and so much more.
I look forward to working with YOU!
